Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Welcome to Uganda
Your safari begins with a warm welcome at Entebbe International Airport. After clearing customs, you’ll be met by your driver-guide and transferred to your hotel in Entebbe. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at your lodge, stroll along the serene shores of Lake Victoria, or visit the vibrant Entebbe Botanical Gardens. Overnight stay in Entebbe.
Day 2: Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early breakfast, you’ll take a scenic flight or a road transfer (depending on preference) to the southwestern corner of Uganda. The drive, though long, is breathtaking—passing through rolling hills, tea plantations, banana groves, and traditional homesteads. Arrive in Bwindi by evening, where the dense forest canopy and cool highland air set the stage for your gorilla adventure. Overnight stay at a lodge bordering Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Day 3: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi – The Ultimate Adventure
This is the day you’ve been waiting for! After a hearty breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla tracking rules and safety. With your ranger guide, you’ll set off on a trek through thick forest, winding trails, and steep terrain in search of a gorilla family. The trek may take 2–6 hours depending on the gorillas’ movements, but the reward is beyond measure—standing face-to-face with the gentle giants of Bwindi. Watch them feed, groom, and interact in their natural habitat.
After the trek, return to your lodge for relaxation, a hot shower, and perhaps a cultural village walk to meet the Batwa people (optional). Overnight stay in Bwindi.
Day 4: Return to Entebbe – Farewell Uganda
Enjoy breakfast before embarking on your return journey to Entebbe, either by road or a domestic flight. Depending on your departure schedule, you may enjoy a city tour of Kampala or shopping for souvenirs before your international flight home.
